Answers to the questions that come up most, and a way to reach a human if yours isn’t here.
A word I already answered came back. Why?
Two reasons. Within a session, a word you get wrong goes back on the queue, so the stack only ends once you’ve answered everything correctly.
Across days, words come back on a spaced schedule — after 1 day, then 3, 7, 16 and 35 — because spacing them out is what moves them into long-term memory.
When does a word count as “learned”?
After three correct answers spread over more than a week. Anything less only proves short-term recall, so the progress screen doesn’t count it yet.
Why are Articles and Vocabulary tracked separately?
Knowing that it’s “die Milch” and knowing that Milch means milk are different skills. Averaging them would hide exactly the gap worth seeing, so the progress screen keeps a separate record for each mode.
The stack is empty.
Every CEFR level is switched off. Open Settings and turn at least one of A1–C1 back on.
Can I reset my progress?
You can reset your streak from Settings. To clear everything — every word’s history and review schedule — delete and reinstall the app; nothing is stored outside it.
I think a word or translation is wrong.
Please get in touch — send the German word and what you think it should be, and it’ll go into the next update. Corrections are genuinely welcome.
Does it work offline?
Always. The dictionary ships inside the app and nothing is ever fetched, so aeroplanes and dead zones are fine.
